Welcome to my blog!

                        I have never been a big blogger before but I am creating this blog about books! Something I love dearly and would like to do more. My name is Kayla McFarland Coburn I just got married in November 2011. Yes, I know 11-11-11 kinda cheesy but my husband should never forget!! HAHA! We purchased our first house a simple two bedroom one bath on a just a tiny piece of land but I think it is perfect. My husband, Ryan and I have a dog he is almost a year and a half old Boxer his name is Gunner. I love Gunner but I hate for him to ride in my new Jeep!! I love Kentucky sports specifically football and basketball. I am the coordinator of a 4-H shooting sports club where we teach children 9-18 how to shoot guns and bows. Anyway, I work at Bourbon County Middle School where I teach 6th grade special education. More specifically I teach students with moderate to severe disabilities, emotional and behavior disorders and learning disorders. Needless to say I have my hands full! This is my second year teaching I always thought I would teach at an elementary school but this door opened and for some reason I jumped in with both feet. Actually in all seriousness I love the middle school. Of course now you all think that I am crazy, I just got married, just bought a house and a new car as well as loving middle school, teach kids how to shoot and having an eighty pound dog. Well, you are probably right. Back to the fun stuff, I graduated with my undergraduate degree from Eastern Kentucky University in December of 2009, Started my masters at University of the Cumberlands in the summer of 2011 and hope to be finished by the end of this summer.
