Scieszka, J (1989) The true story of the three little pigs! By. A. Wolf.. New York: Viking.

A funny spin on the fairy tale The Three Little Pigs. This book tells the wolfs side of the story. Of course the wolf says that he was framed and that he did nothing wrong.

This book is in the Picture Book genre because it is a funny tale of a typical book that most children have read or heard before. The book has more pictures and could be told with pictures alone. The pictures tell the story and very few characters are used.

This book could relate to students since it is a different version of a story that most students have read before. This book would be good for students to use during a compare and contrast activity with this book and the regular three little pigs story.

Characters- The characters in this book are not well developed but there is no need for them to be. With this being spin off a fairy tale that most people have heard the characters are known and familiar to most people

Questions-
Why would someone write a book like this?
Why is it important to listen to both sides of a story?
Would you believe the wolf or the pigs?
